About me
Hi, I'm Simon, a celebrant with a love for people, storytelling, and those beautiful moments that make life truly meaningful.
My background might surprise you! I originally studied Fine Art and Theatre at university, drawn to creativity and performance from an early age. But like many of us, I followed a more traditional path and spent over 25 years in the corporate world. While those years brought valuable experience, I found myself craving something deeper, something more personal, human, and fulfilling.
That search led me to celebrancy, a role that brings together everything I love: creativity, connection, performance, and purpose.
Outside of ceremonies, I’ve spent years as a vocalist, performing with local bands (yes, I still love a good mic moment!). I have an inquisitive nature and genuinely enjoy getting to know people, their stories, quirks, values, and dreams. As a celebrant, I bring all of that into every ceremony I create.
What is a celebrant anyway?
Great question! Think of me as the storyteller, the vibe-setter, and the heart of your ceremony, whether you're tying the knot, saying farewell, or celebrating one of life's many big (and beautiful) moments.
I’m not the registrar, that means I don’t do the legal paperwork for weddings (you’ll still need to pop to the registry office for that bit). But what I do offer is something even more special: a completely personalised ceremony that’s all about you.
Whether you’re getting married in a wildflower meadow, celebrating a new baby, marking a meaningful transition, or honouring someone’s life with love and laughter, I work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your story, your values, and your personality, down to the very last word.
No templates. No cookie-cutter scripts. Just meaningful, memorable moments, created with you, for you.
So if you're after a ceremony that’s heartfelt, joyful, inclusive, and unapologetically you, you're in the right place.
